What Pyalm Books does, in plain terms. If something is not covered here, the guides go deeper.

What is Pyalm Books?
Pyalm Books is accounting and business software that keeps sales, purchases, inventory, banking, VAT and double-entry accounting on one connected set of records. Day-to-day documents — quotations, invoices, supplier bills, stock movements, payments — post to the same ledger the reports are built from, so operations and accounts never have to be reconciled to each other.
Is Pyalm Books built for UAE VAT?
Yes. It is designed around the UAE VAT system: VAT is applied per line at the correct treatment (standard-rated, zero-rated or exempt), the tax summary report is built from the underlying transactions rather than a separate spreadsheet, and every invoice keeps the records needed to support a return.
Does Pyalm Books handle UAE e-invoicing?
Pyalm Books is built to align with the UAE Ministry of Finance e-invoicing framework and produces structured invoices carrying the mandatory fields, rather than a PDF attached to an email. Emailing a PDF invoice does not satisfy the mandate — the invoice has to be a structured document that a machine can read.
Does Pyalm Books include a point of sale?
Yes. The POS is part of the same application, not a separate system that has to be reconciled at the end of the day. A counter sale posts to the same inventory and the same ledger as an invoice raised from the office.
Which financial reports does Pyalm Books produce?
Profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, trial balance, general ledger and tax summary, plus aged receivables and payables, stock on hand, sales by product, category and salesperson, and project profitability. Each report reads from the transactions that created it, so you can move from a headline figure to the underlying records.
Can different team members have different access?
Yes. Members are assigned a role — owner, administrator, manager or cashier — and each role reaches only the parts of the business it needs. Closed accounting periods can also be locked, so completed months are protected from accidental edits while current work continues.
Can I run more than one store or location?
Yes. You can operate multiple stores and warehouses under one business, move stock between them with recorded transfers, and see valuation and stock on hand per location or across the whole business.
Which currencies can I use?
You choose a base currency when you create the business — AED, USD, EUR, GBP, SAR, BHD, KWD, QAR, OMR, INR or PKR. It is used on every invoice, report and PDF. Choose carefully: the base currency is fixed once the business is created and cannot be changed afterwards.

Your business deserves one clear set of books.

Bring the day-to-day work and the financial picture into the same dependable workspace.
